Fill out this form by 5 pm (MT) on January 3, 2025, to apply for the Northern Journalism Training Initiative training taking place in Hay River, NT, from March 10 to April 4 2025..

Please include as much detail as you would like to share. 

Eligibility:

  • 18 years or older;

  • A current resident of the NT; and

  • Available to attend the entire four-week training in-person in Hay River, NT.

We will be contacting you shortly to arrange next steps. NJTI interviews all applicants in order to get a better understanding of why you want to participate in the program, and what parts of storytelling, journalism and communications you find most interesting. This means, you’ll get to know the instructors and NJTI staff, too, and we’ll be best prepared to develop your skills. These interviews will take place at the start of the new year.
