Training Instructor (2)
Northern Journalism Training Initiative (NJTI) is seeking two (2) self-directed, organized, and strong communicators to fill its Training Instructor contracts. These roles are contract positions with a flexible location within the NT.
As a Co-Training Instructor, you will be equally responsible for the delivery of NJTI trainings across the NT with your Co-Instructor. Your work will be driven by and respond to community needs during our training programs. You will contribute significantly to NJTI’s training curriculum development, fostering strong community relationships, and ensuring our programming meets the diverse needs of those we serve.
In this position you will be required to travel to NT communities, where travel, accommodations and per diems will be provided. NJTI is planning to deliver our next four-week training in March/April of 2025 in the community of Hay River, NT during which Training Instructors will be expected to work full-time hours and may incur additional hours during this period.
In this position you will work closely with our Project Director to ensure the delivery of NJTI’s culturally-relevant and community-minded training programming across the NT.

Project Coordinator
Northern Journalism Training Initiative (NJTI) is seeking a self-directed, organized, and strong communicator for the position of Project Coordinator. This is a part-time or full-time position with a flexible location within the NT.
As Project Coordinator, you will play a supporting role in the coordination and delivery of NJTI trainings across the NT. Your work will be driven by community needs, and collaboration with partner organizations. You will contribute significantly to NJTI trainings, fostering strong community relationships, and ensuring our programming meets the diverse needs of those we serve. In this position you will travel with the Trainers to NT communities and keep a flexible work schedule.
You will work closely with our Project Director to help realize NJTI’s vision, guided by our current Strategic Plan. You will work directly with community partners and contractors to support the delivery of NJTI’s culturally-relevant and community-minded training across the NT.
